Following the success of the Fuxing CR400BF Standard EMU, CRC Changchun once again collaborated with IDA’s experienced design team for its bid to develop a high-speed train connecting Beijing and Zhangjiakou for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games. The resulting design was showcased during the Beijing Winter Olympics and earned the prestigious Red Star Design Award.

The winning concept evolved from initial hand-drawn sketches to fully realised 3D models. Our team worked closely with CRC engineers, ensuring that the detailed 3D surface models preserved the original design intent and addressed technical challenges during the project’s development phase. This design has since contributed to the expansion of China’s high-speed fleet and served as the foundation for the country’s newly launched next-generation smart train.
