IDA was commissioned in 2017 by Hyundai Rotem to create a fresh new look for TfNSW’s New Intercity Fleet. In a highly collaborative process, our designers worked closely with HRC engineers, human factors specialists, accessibility specialists, TfNSW Customer Experience and TfNSW Branding to develop solutions for NSW’s most advance and user focused passenger train to date. Our scope covered all areas of the appearance design including Interior and Exterior Styling, Livery Design, Concept 3D Modelling, DSAPT Compliance, Design Book Renderings, Colour and Finish specification, 3D Printed Mock-up parts, customer and crew facing Decal Design and Specification, first article inspection as well as Creating 3DVisualisations for TfNSW media release.
